1. General Information
These workshops are organized and run by The Makery (“the Organizer”), owned by Kim Snapper.
Workshops are designed for children aged 5 and up and take place at Michael Oak Waldorf School on dates and times as scheduled and communicated to the parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and collection at the specified times.
2. Enrollment and Payment
A child’s place is only secured upon receipt of full payment.
All payments are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 5.
Spaces are limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Drop-off and Collection
Children must be dropped off and collected by a parent, legal guardian, or designated adult (18+), whose details must be provided in advance.
A late collection fee may be charged if a child is not picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled end time.
4. Behavior and Participation
The Makery fosters a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may lead to a child being removed from the session, with no refund.
Parents/guardians must disclose any special needs, allergies, or medical conditions prior to the workshop date to ensure the child’s safety and optimal participation.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations received at least 7 days before the workshop date may qualify for a partial refund, less an administrative fee.
Cancellations within 7 days of the workshop are non-refundable unless due to serious illness and at the discretion of The Makery.
6. Health and Safety
All reasonable safety precautions will be taken, including the use of child-safe materials and supervision by trained facilitators.
Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact details and disclose any health or behavioral concerns in advance.
7. Photos and Media
Photos and videos may be taken during workshops for promotional use by The Makery on social media, websites, or print materials.
If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used, you must inform Kim Snapper in writing prior to the workshop.
8. Liability and Indemnity
Indemnity Clause:
By enrolling your child in a workshop hosted by The Makery, you acknowledge and accept that, although every effort will be made to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, there are inherent risks associated with arts and crafts activities, including the possibility of minor injuries or allergic reactions. You, the parent or legal guardian, hereby waive, release, and discharge The Makery, Kim Snapper, Michael Oak Waldorf School and all affiliated staff, volunteers, or agents from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability for any loss, injury, damage, or illness incurred during the workshop, whether resulting from negligence or otherwise. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Makery and Kim Snapper from any such claims brought by or on behalf of your child, except in cases of proven gross negligence or intentional harm.
9. Consent
By registering your child and submitting payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
